Demeter is the trademark of biodynamic agriculture.
Both Demeter and Europe are goddesses.
National Demeter organisations in Europe cooperate in various fields. Especially in protecting the trademark, legal issues and common interests in relation to the governments and other major players in the organic field.

There is also a close cooperation in general practice: exchanging addresses, exchanging knowledge and experience, supplying preparations, exchanging certification forms and so on.
